Human Development Graduate Student Association (HDGSA)
The purpose of this organization is to enhance the professional, academic, and social well being of graduate students in the Human Development program at Virginia Tech. Any graduate student enrolled in graduate courses may become a member of the HDGSA, and shall be eligible to vote in all elections, attend and participate in meetings, and attend all HDGSA related events.
Academy of Leadership
This committee spearheads initiatives that provide leadership on activities that are primarily internal to the program. These include Blackboard enhancement, program evaluation, policy recommendations, doctoral student recruitment, programs for HD Master's students, and other internal initiatives.
Ambassadors Program
The Ambassadors Program in the Academy of Leadership leads external initiatives sponsored and supported by the department. These external projects raise the visibility of the HD Graduate Students across our campus, the country, and the world. While championing the department, Ambassadors work with the internal committee to keep current graduate students informed about opportunities at the college, university, community, and professional levels.
