Employer Appeal of a Master’s in Human Development
The appeal of this program derives from a simple fact: we asked employers what expertise and skills are most in demand in their organizations and agencies. Based on their suggestions, we designed a program to meet the needs of tomorrow’s employees in the human development field. This practice-oriented program reflects the job demands in many types of organizations, agencies, and businesses. Sample job titles in these organizations include:

The program provides high quality, professional experiences concerning clients, groups of clients, and human development organizations. We aim for practice-oriented approaches to advance goals and solve problems. The coursework is grounded in human development theory and research.
The program is applied social science. In each of the core Human Development courses, you address contemporary illustrations or problems and solutions in the field. Each course also includes a project that becomes part of your portfolio. Overall, the program prepares graduates to make important, valuable, and lasting contributions to the field during their career. Please note that this degree does NOT prepare graduates for clinical licensure in a mental health profession.
